NATO Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence

Based in Riga, Latvia, the NATO Strategic Communications COE (StratCom COE) contributes to improved Alliance strategic communications capabilities.
The Centre designs programs to advance StratCom doctrine development and standardisation, conducts research and experimentation to find practical solutions to existing challenges, identifies lessons from applied StratCom during operations, as well as enhances training and education efforts and interoperability.
The StratCom COE operates as a hub for debate and expertise within various StratCom disciplines: Public Diplomacy, Public Affairs, Military Public Affairs, Information Operations and Psychological Operations. It engages different information discipline professionals to support policy and operational planning at the strategic, operational and tactical levels. The Centre's work emphasises inclusiveness and utilizes virtual networks to leverage existing and desired national communications capacity.
